Wharf 1 - Port of Mackay
Our brief was to design, supply and commission the specialist fire protection equipment required for the Port of Mackay Wharf 1 fire systems upgrade.
During the project new guidelines were introduced by the Queensland Government Department of Environment and Heritage Protection, as the Client was a state owned organisation they decided to change from using AFFF to a fluorine-free foam concentrate in order to comply with the new policy.
The foam / water monitor system uses SKUM FJM-100 monitors, FireDos FD6000 proportioners, Solberg Re-Healing RF MB foam concentrate and the monitor control system was custom built in-house.
The project was delivered in early 2015 on time and on budget.
