Outer Harbour Berth 4 - Adelaide
Fire Engineering Solutions were engaged by Sinclair Knight Merz to design a fire safety system for a bulk fuels import wharf at Outer Harbour, Adelaide that complied with Australian Standards and Australia’s obligations under SOLAS.
To reduce installation time on this busy wharf, the pumps, foam storage and proportioning and control station were assembled in a shipping container and commissioned before delivery to site. Foam / water monitors were mounted on 12m towers, the towers were hinged so the monitor could be lowered to horizontal for maintenance.
Our project management team took responsibility for the installation and commissioning of the system. The project was delivered early in 2014 on time and on budget.
